“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” (Ephesians 4:14-16)
The Student Ministry is a group that is open to all 6th – 12th grade students. Currently, the ministry operates with three different programs:
Summit is a High School student only group that meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Annex (small building on the far east side of campus). Summit’s main focus is discipleship. This is the night where those who really want to learn about faith and what it means to live a life in pursuit of Christ will be challenged to grow spiritually. We still play games, and occasionally make a trip to Cold Stone Creamery, but we place a much larger focus on studying Scripture and discussing how it impacts our lives.
Currently, our Ascent program is on hiatus while we are working on restructuring our ministries into a single Family Ministry. The plan is to make available a place and space that would work efficiently and effectively in letting our middle school students encounter Christ unlike ever before. Stay on the watch for more news coming soon.
Besides our weekly meetings, the Student Ministry calendar is full of fun events that we hope you will be a part of! Concerts, movies, ski trips, summer CIY trips, Fall Retreats, service projects – You name it! We’re always doing something together! Sign up for Remind text alerts and follow us on social media for the latest news!
Our Student Ministries is led by our Family Minister, Kyle Maune, but it is by no means a one man show! Kyle has gathered some of the greatest parents and adults from the congregation to be a part of his team of sponsors that help keep the ministry running at full potential. If you are interested in helping serve the Student Ministries as a sponsor, or help lead events from time to time, contact Kyle for more information.
